TRANSPORT BUSINESS LICENSE FOR HOUSEHOLD BUSINESSES – KEY LEGAL NOTES

In the context of increasingly strict regulation of transport activities, household businesses providing passenger transport services should pay close attention to legal requirements from the registration stage through actual business operations.

When carrying out household business registration procedures, the business owner must register the correct business lines corresponding to the intended transport activities. In the case of goods transportation, the business line for road freight transport should be registered. In the case of passenger transport services under contracts, not operating on fixed routes, the business line for other road passenger transport should be registered.

For passenger transport under contracts, household businesses are not allowed to sell individual tickets or operate in the same manner as fixed-route passenger transport services. Instead, the transportation must be carried out on the basis of a transport contract signed in advance between the household business and the hirer. The hirer must be a party that has the demand to hire the entire trip, including both the vehicle and the driver, rather than booking individual seats separately.

During the operation of each trip, in addition to the documents required under road traffic regulations, the driver must also carry the transport contract and the passenger list certified by the household business. These documents are important to demonstrate that the transportation service is being conducted in compliance with applicable laws when inspected by the competent authorities.
